A fun theme for a friend's baby shower.  A platter of minis to serve and larger cookies boxed for favors.

 

 

Books for Baby

 

The invitation for great-niece Kaley's baby shower was the inspiration for her cookies.  I edited the art work to remove the time and place, then added "Oh, Boy!" as a book title.  

 Large cookies were packaged for favors for the guests with a tag that said, "Thank you for starting the next chapter with us."

 

In addition, mini cookies were prepared for the dessert table at the brunch.

 Finally, some Halloween designs were included for the children at the party.

Oh, baby!

It's been a long time since our family has had a baby in our midst, so I was excited to prepare cookies to share at my nephew, Bill, and his partner, Amy's baby shower.

Grandma Rita wanted to add some "bling" to balance the dark wood tables at the venue, so "rose gold" coloring was the challenge for this set of cookies.  So much love went into preparing for this special event.  Rita made table runners, a special diaper cake, and baked dozens of cookies.  Bill's sisters and nieces prepared the invitations and decorations.  "It takes a village" is how our family functions.

Grandma opted to have a sweet table filled with a variety of cookies.  I "specialize" in frosted sugar cookies, but my sister, Rita, is the real baker in the family.

Bill managed to handle being the only man in a room full of women!  Amy and Bill are pictured here with nieces, Leann and Mary Grace,  Bill's sisters,  Heather and Jody, and the Grandmas "to be."

Can't wait to "shower" baby Avery with special cookies in the future.

Baby It's A Jungle Out There

Thanks to the creativity of SweetSugarBelle, I have now used my reindeer cutter to make giraffes more often than he has appeared during the Christmas holidays!  The pumpkin baby was inspired by the shower invitation.

A fun cookie to make for a baby shower!

This cookie was larger than the ones that I usually make but they looked very nice in the bags with a sheer green ribbon.

The blankets requested on the gift registry were just too cute not to make into cookies!  Loved the colors and the cute little animals in this set.
